Christmas Opening.

iventos was commissioned to create the overall concept as well as to develop and organise the complete supporting programme for the Christmas Opening at Westfield Centro Oberhausen. In addition to handling the permit process, event management and logistics, the focus was on creating a festive atmosphere that ranged from unique walking acts through to a spectacular drone show.

The event began with the “Lights on” ceremony, in which Westfield Centro's regular lighting was replaced by festive Christmas lighting. Highlights of the staging included a Christ Child reading the Christmas blessing, a gospel choir, acrobatic performances and a Nutcracker walking act. Distributing Lindt chocolate to visitors rounded off the experience.

The Christmas Opening at Westfield Centro Oberhausen was a great success and achieved a strong positive impact for the Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield brand. The event has established itself as a highlight in the event calendar and is enjoying growing popularity. The Christmas Opening served as a kick-off event that opened the festive season and put the brand in the spotlight. iventos handled the complete concept and implementation of the Christmas kick-off event – operational preparation and execution, logistics, coordination through to branding. Thanks to the seamless execution, the event became the ideal start to the season and has been a fixed part of the shopping mall's event portfolio for years.
