Juistival.

The Kurverwaltung Juist commissioned the complete realignment of the time-honoured Juist music festival as an independent, family-friendly cultural format. Under the new name “Juistival”, tourism, music, art and community were to be newly combined. The goal was to carry the festival into the target markets as a cultural highlight with great appeal, with an experience-oriented approach both on site and in the home markets, with special involvement of local artists as well as sustainable concepts.

The “Juistival” brand was determined through a public vote in order to foster community and identification. The festival began as early as the journey there: on the ferry and the Töwerland Express, live music and DJ sets created a festival atmosphere. Across six different locations – from the spa square and beach bars to the youth education centre – we distributed a varied programme with live acts, street art, walking acts and children's activities.

Significant local ensembles such as the Juist Shanty Choir and the fire brigade music corps performed, as did international artists. The concept was complemented by sustainable measures such as reusable cups, electricity from renewable sources and a deliberately designed supporting programme that combined cultural diversity and environmental awareness.

On all three days, the festival became a public attraction with thousands of visitors. The mood remained unbroken; even in changeable weather, a high-spirited atmosphere prevailed – both on the spa square and at the other event venues. The press described the Juistival as the largest event ever held on the island. Due to its success, iventos secured the contract for the next three festival editions.
