Sizzle – Das BBQ-Festival.Ruhr.

iventos was commissioned to conceive the BBQ festival Sizzle – BBQ Festival.Ruhr and to deliver it annually during the holiday period in NRW. The goal is to highlight Westfield Centro's food expertise, increase visitor frequency and turn the event into a fixture with regional appeal. iventos handles the complete planning and execution of the event, which in 2024 is already entering its third edition. The task encompasses the event concept, the acquisition of exhibitors and the coordination of the entire event over 10 days.

Across more than 2,500 square metres in the open air, Sizzle is all about grilling. The festival on Luise-Albertz-Platz offers a broad range of freshly prepared dishes, from vegan options through to dry-aged beef and pulled pork. Vendors present the latest BBQ tools, and grill shows as well as workshops allow visitors to pick up tips and trends directly from the professionals. A varied music programme provides the right atmosphere. iventos is responsible for the complete planning, from the acquisition of exhibitors to the curation of the stage programme.

The BBQ festival is a great success that attracts thousands of visitors every year. In 2022, the event counted over 130,000 visitors across 10 days with 15,000 portions sold, and a press reach of 4.4 million was achieved. In 2023, over 116,000 visitors came with an expanded selection of exhibitors and catering. The press reach rose to an impressive 16.8 million. iventos was responsible for the complete organisation, the event and stage planning, as well as all marketing measures to deliver the event successfully.
